Pros

The pay is very competitive.

Cons

HR promises you a reasonable productivity number at interview... low 80s for evaluating therapists... however, after day one of employment you learn you are expected to be at 92%. Computer shortage and lack of resources make this impossible. Multiple issues with HR after hire which were time consuming to straighten out and very frustrating. Select has an intranet for employees but little info available on the company, A lot of confusion on how things should be done and all management cares about is daily productivity and trying to get as many Ultras and Part B's on caseload as possible

Pros

The facility that this company is contracted in is very clean & nice. The patients are great to work with & it was enjoyable to see their progress. Therapists all work together as a team, despite the lack of leadership.

Cons

Very poor management & leadership with unprofessionalism, poor communication, & a hostile work environment for staff. Staff are belittled when spoken to & authority is used to create fear. Concerns were presented to upper management by staff on multiple occasions with no action to address the actual issue. This company is located in another state and is contracted to be in this facility, with poor communication and response by the company to employee needs. Lack of job security - rehab contract with the facility was sold to other companies and staff changed employers 4 times in 1.5 years with Select Rehabilitation being the last change. Most management remained the same through changes. Insurance benefits have high deductibles with a lot of out of pocket expense.

Pros

None except a good rehab team/co-workers. This has nothing to do with the company I work for!

Cons

-There really is not PTO; you may accrue it, but have to go thru an act of congress to use it. If you get sick plan to make the time up and remember there really are no holidays! -Program managers are nothing more than upper managements puppets. They hold no power within the facility and are there only to pass along the unrealistic demands of the upper management and kiss the facilities rear-end. -Regional managers place unrealistic expectations on you daily. You will likely be asked to do some pretty shady and unethical things as well. My advice if you take a job with this company is learn the law/medicare rules and learn how to say "no". -Forget making clinical decisions. Upper management will let you know when you can discharge your patients. -No pay raises unless the facility is in a staffing crisis and you put in a notice. They will always offer you more money to stay. -No training if you get placed in to a management position - get ready to learn on the fly and get you butt chewed out when you screw up. -Unrealistic productivity standards for practicing therapists; expect paperwork to be done off the clock to keep numbers high. Labor board needs to be notified about this company. You will never work a 40 hour week and never get overtime! -Truly the worst company I have ever worked for. Take a job here only as a last resort. -Actually got diagnosed with situational anxiety due to work related stress by my physician while working here. Terrible employer.
