Pros

Initial onboarding and training for sales agents was structured and informative. Opportunity to move into different roles internally (e.g. recruiter), though not always sustainable. Remote work set up was convenient.

Cons

Commission structure was not competitive given the workload—felt overworked and underpaid. Leads were often recycled or unresponsive, making it difficult to meet performance goals. High-pressure environment with minimal ongoing support after training. Internal mobility didn’t guarantee job security—promoted to recruiter and let go shortly after without clarity. High turnover and unclear communication from leadership added to job stress and instability.

Pros

The commission structure is 2nd to none. I have worked at several insurance companies and I always find my way back to Select Quote. I have been able to afford a down payment on my home as well as paying off my brand new truck and management does not micromanage, though you are held accountable of meeting metrics, which is understandable with any career. If you’re able to sell a minimum of four policies a day in the off-season and seven during the busy season you would pace to make over 100 K easily. There is a huge opportunity for Work life Balance outside of the busy season.

Cons

I don’t have much to say as far as cons. But if you are not a high performer, then this isn’t the job for you, you will not be satisfied with your compensation structure. There are other positions that you may be happy with within the company.

Pros

Consistent business, marketing is adjusting to the new SEP market. They care about growth and keeping sales agents over the seasons. I believe they are poised to tackle the new Medicare industry with their new pharmacy and other services that offer seniors some benefits. I would recommend SelectQuote to anyone who has been deceived by other agencies. Compliance is very intuitive and wait times between calls is very minimal. You can guarantee good pay if you work the hours and try to help clients,
