A tale of smoke and mirrors

Pros

Overtime For the people complaining about working overtime then this isn’t for you. You have to do what it takes. Stop complaining. You have an opportunity to make money and working just normal hours won’t get you to where you want to be. If you find your niche you can make money. Decent training There are some good people with morals there

Cons

Lies. Managers will lie to your face. Seen it many times to agents. Managers play favorites. Morals are not valued by managers. Cult like atmosphere at times. Managers turn a blind eye to the agents they like and find reasons to get on agents for no true reason. The big issue there is discrimination. Managers have no business being in that position. Horrible communication. No exp. They STRONGLY encourage employees to fill out best employers surveys. Which is a joke. High school atmosphere Agents are just a number. Agents had to communicate with 2nd level managers to find out what was going on because managers failed to communicate. Managers try to make a name for themselves. HR not honest about advancement. Recognition goes to be not deserving. Managers got fired for sexual harassment. “Unconfirmed”. But all signs point to it. Management are hypocrites say one thing but do something else. Comp plan is ok. Management only responds when they want to. They hinder some agents success while not doing so to other agents

Pros

If I have to add a pro for this I will say they supply you with a chair to sit on.

Cons

Smoke and mirrors. Tell you you can make a lot money. The truth is this is simply a call center blasting Americans with sales pitches. Your better off calling a local agent. It won't cost you a dime more and they will have the same products. They are always hiring. They will tell you because of growth. That is untrue. People quit all the time once they figure out SelectQuote is just a mill.

Pros

Lots media exposure for leads and name recognition.

Cons

They expect you to pay for licensing appointments to the states they want you selling. All this for an amazing $11/hr!!

Thank you for your feedback. We pay for licensing and appointment fees for our agents. Incoming candidates pay for their own resident license prior to starting with SelectQuote and are reimbursed if they finish their training. We disclose this during recruiting/hiring.
