Pros

Nice coworkers, nice customers who come in repeatedly so you can build a relationship with the community, always new stuff to learn, bonuses on holidays

Cons

It can be difficult to get more pay

Not all positions and stores are equal

Pros

Flexible within my department, but not the case for everywhere.

Cons

Most managers did not look or follow dayforce for scheduling. HR doesn't manage complaints well. At my store in front end they expect you to help out in almost everyone department but at a cashier pay grade, and when I asked for a raise I was told no I make the average amount as an office associate. Most managers lack experience within the store you'll be lucky if they know how use a cash register. Expectations differ between departments and even stores. Little acknowledgment or even care if you work in a fresh 2 go compare to a big store.
