I've felt truly supported since day one. Everyone at Home Office is always willing to help. We have a solid team at my community and it's a fun place to work. It's great to be surrounded by people caring for and about people.

Cons

We can't control life and death. You can't have one without the other. It can be an emotional experience.

Pros

Senior Lifestyle allows the ED freedom to work within established guidelines and expectations. I do not feel micromanaged. I do feel that I can provide input that will be listened to and considered.

Cons

A lot of mandatory programs to implement. A lot of duplicative reporting to various departments that contain the same information, just in a format pleasing to that department. These should be condensed into one report, one format.

Pros

This is the type of company where you actually hear from and feel supported by the CEO/CFO. The VP's and Regional Support are top tier and they do a great job in training their Executive Directors as well as make us feel supported. If I need something, my superiors are an email or phone call away. Lots of room for growth!

Cons

Some of the systems are old. I came from the largest senior living company before coming here to SLC and some of the operating/financial systems we work on are outdated and not as innovative as I am used to. The health benefits are also not the greatest.
