Pros

- Amazing, authentic, transparent, and caring people - Positive energy and momentum - Real sense of purpose and impact - Super strong leadership team across all functions - No end of opportunity to learn, grow, and build skills - Fast moving and tremendous opportunity to build and influence process - No politics, no drama, no BS - Fun place with awesome people!

Cons

- Some resource constraints and competing priorities but to be expected at a startup at this stage; we are learning to communicate and handle this as a team so less a con than a challenge to be dealt with

Pros

I joined Sensibill earlier this year and have been very happy with my decision. The people are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, and most importantly, are genuinely a pleasure to work with. Virtual onboarding was really well done and helped me get up to speed and feel like part of the team quickly. I've learned a lot since joining and continue to be provided with opportunities to expand my skill set, take on new responsibilities, and grow as an individual contributor. Also, the leadership team is very approachable and welcomes innovative new ideas.

Cons

None that I've seen so far, obviously COVID-19 added some additional stressors and a more unstable market but I think the company is handling it well.

An Organization that puts its people first

Pros

This was a challenging year for many, but the team at Sensibill was awesome about how to handled the pandemic and keeping everyone aligned and connected. Frequent check ins on team members mental health and ensuring that despite not being able to be in the office (which was one of the best parts of the overall culture), we all remain tight knit. The year also saw a tremendous amount of growth on the product vision front and it feels great to see everyone aligned behind a key vision. Despite working from home, I was excited everyday to get to work transforming how people deal with their finances. This is going to be very important for the work post pandemic and will add a lot of value. The senior leadership team is fantastic - I'm used to military style "go do this" but at Sensibill everyone is involved in the journey - the SLT makes sure to take in everyone's feedback as different perspectives can be very beneficial.

Cons

In theory OKRs can help align teams, but the implementation could use some tweaking - more involvement with the teams. - Sometimes the company makes reactions that can appear to be a knee jerk - bring people along on the journey for less surprises.

We’re very proud of the culture that we’ve created here at Sensibill, and focusing on the team’s mental health is incredibly important to us. We do our best to make decision-making processes clear and transparent to the whole team. We heard the team’s thoughts around OKRs and we have been iterating and evolving how we implement goals to give teams more autonomy. 2021 has seen a shift in how we set these goals, and we’re excited to pave the path forward!
