Pros
My favorite part of working for Sensible Care is the culture. While it's continuing to grow and branch into new states, it still has the care of a small company. Everyone is really familiar with everyone in each department and you're never afraid to reach out for help because everyone, no matter their title or department, is willing to help where they can! Each supervisor across any department is very kind and the mental wellbeing and success of their employees is a priority. They do weekly/bi-weekly check ins to see how you're feeling, any feedback you might have about how things are going or if there are any adjustments that you would like your supervisor to look into to make your workflow better. Not only do they value mental healthcare for their patients but that care for mental health carries across the entire company into how they treat their employees. You aren't made to feel guilty for needing a sick day, which is a very common practice in many companies. I also really appreciate they value growth from within. Many companies outsource higher roles, but Sensible Care offers these roles first to inside employees expressing interest in the position/department and they offer training and certifications if it is something new for you. After the 90 day period you have access the the many benefits the company provides. I love that they provide a lot of vacation time and you don't have to wait a year to receive it (like a lot of companies do). You start with 15 vacation days and they also provide 1 paid holiday a month. Vacation days roll over annually and you still continue to accrue as long as you don't max out (cap is 120 hours). They also offer a $50/month Gym Membership reimbursement For 401(k), they match 100% of the first 3% of an employee’s pay contributed, and 50% of the next 2% contributed. They also offer Health, Dental, and Vision coverage. They currently pay 60% of the premium for employee health insurance and 60% for their dependents, 75% for employee dental, and 100% for employee vision. Health is through Anthem HMO or PPO. Dental and vision are through Delta Dental and VSP vision.
Cons
My only con is that they do wait until you are in your current position for a year to provide a raise. This means if you move to a new role before your year mark, your year mark will be pushed out resulting in your raise being pushed out. It isn't a huge issue as I do believe the starting pay ($40k) is fair for working remote and for the benefits/growth opportunities.
