Pay was good depending on how you negotiated it prior to joining the company.

Cons

Workload management politics and colleagues not very welcoming. Hopefully hapens once in a lifetime. The atmosphere and morale in the place is very toxic and low. People were not sharing as much information. Most are afraid their oversharing information would lead to their jobs being jeopardized. Co workers incentivized not to help each other leasing to competitive situations. Customer service is practically non existent.

Pros

Sensient is an established company not a startup and stock value is a matter of record. Product lines have weathered recent recession fairly well. Corporate culture and values are defined so you know what to expect without fluctuations or surprises.

Cons

Growth has largely been by acquisitions rather than innovations internally. Wants to become a high tech company but lacks understanding of the investments and cultural adaptations it takes to transform to that. Look at how few patents are granted as indication of priority for R&D. Culture focused on production, sales and profits and of course quarterly stock reports. Most employees are treated as expendable and to follow orders. Management was by directive not objective. Leadership, creativity, team work, and celebrating success were not common.
