Not bad, but not great

Pros

Benefits package is great; get a yearly bonus depending on your performance review and job rank; depending on the hospital you work in, there can be a great atmosphere; frequent communication in regards to how benefits are changing.

Cons

Not all jobs are secured; there is a huge wage disparity between cost of living and what certain positions make; certain hospital environments are toxic; more of a focus on politics and money than on the people lately; productivity expected of a single person is usually unrealistic, but the company refuses to hire more staff.

Pros

Pay is very competitive Good benefits.

Cons

Job description was very misleading at best. I ended up doing things way beyond the scope of what the job title implied. Did not feel qualified for the things I ended up being required to do. Also, the position was advertised as full-time, but ended up being part-time with half the promised hours. I ended up being "called off" on several occasions due to the census being low in the department I was hired for. Ended up leaving to find a more suitable fit and a steady work schedule. Terrible hierachy. Should do away with "color coding". Had an RN not speak to me in an elevator because I was in a "lower level color uniform". I spoke to her and she simply looked at me as though she was royalty and I was a peasant. Was not used to this type,of blatant hierachy. It is truly laughable. The bad thing is that I spent MONTHS trying to get hired because I wanted to work for this company.

Pros

Great benefits- they recently doubled their tuition assistance and made changes to their sick time. Competitive salary- If you push for it, if you accept the first offer it will not be competitive Good people to work with, they try to promote a great culture to care for people

Cons

It takes too long and too much to remove a poor worker Management can be unrealistic with expectations Focus on fixing the wrong problems when trying to better Long Term Care
