shift differiential used to be 8/hr; new technology;

Cons

improper training, lack of communication; management lacks direct contact and feedback; no chain of command and open door policy; no wingman; training inadequate with no resources; will throw you to the wolves; do not trust management to look in your best interest; not a wecoming experience

Pros

Largest healthcare employer in the area. Staffing not as bad as some other hospitals. Able to change positions within organization but very hard to advance pay

Cons

Largest healthcare employer in the area limits your ability to move to a new job. Control salary for nurses. Education is supposed to be a goal for staff, but education reimbursement is much lower than most other employers. Focus is on budget rather than maintaining appropriate staffing. In some instances unsafe staffing levels

Great team environment, benefits, flexible scheduling, coworkers are friends

Cons

Not enough ancillary staff/ support services. Often times the job is stressful and fast paced. There is a shortage of help so you run yourself down trying to provide quality patient care. A typical healthcare job.
