Thank you for your review. I’m pleased you’ve immersed yourself into our culture and are taking advantage of the many benefits we offer, including our current work model of Tuesday–Thursday in the office with the option to work from home on Monday and Friday. In terms of professional development, we take great pride in the designations, certifications, and learning opportunities that are available through Sentry University—our award-winning corporate university. If there are additional opportunities you’d like to pursue, please have a conversation with your manager or connect with your HR Representative to discuss options. Thank you again for your feedback. Pros

Great CoWorkers. Some assistance to grow your skillsets. Middle management tries to help you but their hands are tied to actually get the associates what they want.

Cons

Pay - this year the raises and merit were horrible. And the canned responses about how the company offers marketable compensation to the position and location is laughable. If it is comparable, how come people are leaving left and right to new positions. Maybe focus on what we as associates are saying we want vs sending us coffee cups and hot chocolate. We hear constantly about our surplus yet it doesn't trickle down to the ones actually doing the work. The push to return to the office. The in office culture is not needed. Many teams are doing their best work from home currently and are being successful in using the technology that we have. By pushing us back into the office all you are telling us is that you don't trust us and you want us back in the office so you can hover and watch us. The reposnses about flexibility in our hybrid is not consistent across the company. Some managers are saying flexible and others are being hard and fast, no deviation to the set scehdules. The workload in not something we can keep up in the long run. We get through a push of work and management and the business just keep adding to the mountain of what they expect us to finish. HR is not helpful. We get told to voice our concerns to management and HR and its like speaking to a brick wall. Those that do speak up are brushed off, given the minimum assistance or made to feel like we are crazy for thinking there is an issue. On the other hand too many associates are afraid to actually have honest conversations with their supervisors for fear of retaliation. The Board of Directors needs diversity. There are very few women and no people of color. They are stuck in the past and it shows.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. First off, if you—or anyone at Sentry—fears retaliation from a manager, please share that with an HR representative immediately. If you don’t feel supported by your HR professional, please don’t hesitate to take your concerns—and any questions about merit increases and compensation—to an HR manager. As an organization, we want associate voices to be heard. I appreciate your comments about consistency around returning to the office. While we don’t intend to be a remote company, our hybrid model is intended to offer flexibility to everyone in the company. Please know we’ll consider that feedback as we start to repopulate our offices. In regards to your comment about diversity, we recently just added an additional woman to our board. We’re also actively identifying new approaches toward recruitment and retention that reflect our commitment to diversity. Thank you again for your feedback. Javier Sotelo – Senior Director of Talent

We understand the importance of offering competitive associate benefits and encouraging our associates to maintain a healthy work/life balance. Regarding your feedback concerning office dynamics, I encourage you to talk with your manger—and your HR representative, if necessary—about your concerns. We strive to create a friendly, engaging workplace, and your input can help us ensure that all associates feel supported. Thank you again for sharing this review with us.
