Pros

flexible schedule, ability to add PTO, benefits are decent, lots of developmental conversations/career planning, and LOTS OF GRATIS

Cons

hard to get promoted -- very political, does not pay very well in management, district managers typically have favorites and they get promoted or people have been around so long that they eventually get promoted, too focused on the "turn" that they end up keeping people that should typically be fired

Pros

no pressure to make sales, just to make happy clients. no commission, but bonuses on store sales and client survey. discount, lots of free items from brand partners, lots of room to move up quickly in the company if you're committed. lots of management positions. lots of programs in place to make sure employees are appreciated.

Cons

non-management positions don't pay as well as Mac/Macy's/Nordstrom, but the no-pressure environment is worth it. can't take tips or promote your freelance business at work.
