Pros

I loved this part-time job. Sephora requires a long and thorough training for their Beauty Consultants. I liked that the education was on-going. The store I was at believed in developing relationships with our clients and we were encouraged to provide the best service we could. And I got free gratis every month!

Cons

Typical retail downside - terrible holiday hours, obnoxious sales and promotions, expectation to upsell at all times...

Pros

You learn something new everyday & you get tons of gratis.

Cons

Even if your full time, you will never get 40 hours. Your hours are always inconsistent. Sephora's a million dollar company with no payroll. =/

Pros

Got free make-up, skincare and fragrance. Got to learn about the hottest cosmetics while working in a commission free environment making it easier to sell because there was less pressure.

Cons

Management had a lot of favortism which made it more difficult to move up. They also gave cheap raises even if it was considered a promotion.
