Pros

Great company to work for if you have a great manager who knows how to delegate. Hours are great if your knowledgeable in skincare makeup and register. Get makeup certified. Tons of gratis. If your a talented makup artist and very comfortable around people you'll do just fine here. Entry level work. Client service, I worked in color so I was stationed at the beauty studio most of the time.

Cons

Pay. Ask for what you deserve. It's hard to get a raise even when they promise you. High turn over. Sometimes hours get cut when it's slow. Pay is very very low unless you work in a bustling city.

Pros

Great company, with great benefits. Sephora is all about educating their employees and providing great client service. They definitely are innovators and leaders in beauty.

Cons

Management is a huge clique. They use illegal and unprofessional tactics to keep the upper hand. It broke my heart to have to move on but I couldn't not stand for the wrong and unprofessional behavior going on in upper management.

Pros

Sephora is a company that believes in and promotes growth from within. The value of education is second to none as well. Those who want to grow & learn (regardless of path) will really enjoy Sephora. As a company they value work life balance.

Cons

It's retail so just be prepared to understand that going in. Your particular store management team will make or break your experience. I worked under two different teams and my experiences were incredibly different (one very positive and one very negative ultimately causing me to choose to leave.)
