Obtain a lot of marketable skills, meet a lot of new people and the health benefits are very good compared to what's here. Pay not great

Cons

Toxic, race discrimination, and people of color not being promoted. Old boys club and people who have been there 30 years won't change and it's hostile place in certain departments

Work schedule is horrible it does not get better with seniority, you only get other positions if you cool wit somebody, the unions is trash tou are just a number it is not worth your health and safety

Cons

You start off at a low rate, You have to work a lot of hours It’s seniority based so you might end up with crappy runs. The conductors there run it like it’s a gang. You better do what they say or else. Instead of teaching the new conductors, they rather discourage them with negative language and creating a hostile work environment.
