No room for advancement! Poor employee morale!

Pros

SEPTA has great company sponsored healthcare benefits. They still have a company sponsored retirment plan and a 457 B plan with a company match of 10%.

Cons

Very poor employee morale. Career advancement is virtually non-existent for all but a "few". Salary administration is arbitrary and inconsistent. Employees are not properly supported in the performance of their duties. You're an expert until they hire you!

Pros

flexibility and benefits along with no job pressure. However, it is the best place to work if you have family obligations or run a business on the side

Cons

no career advancement and no challenge on the job. It is a very political place. It is not what you know but who you know period.

Benefits, health insurance, free public transportation

Cons

Open racism. If you compete an internal position againt white applicant then you have no chance. They even create a position for promoting them however non-white people remain deprived. A group in B&B engineering management people controll the entire hiring and promotion policy.
