They had a great system for putting together proposals that they got from SI International but they pushed it to the side to do it manually.
I had a manager who left the company (the contract I was working on left me as the sole IT person for the contract) and when they assigned me to another manager, it was like a three-ringed circus trying to meet her. The first time we tried to meet, there was a disconnect. When I tried to meet a second time, I found out that she had turned in her notice to the company and I was not told about it until I contacted her. Then they assigned me to another manager, there was very little discussion with him and his second email to me was notifying me that because my contract was ending, I would be laid off 2 weeks after that. I would have at least expected a phone call from him explaining the situation but nothing. I finally met him in person on the last day of work to turn in my computer and had a discussion about the future. HR gave no assistance in trying to find a new position either. All I got from there was there was nothing available.
I have since put in (April 2012) for another position and 4 weeks has gone by without any contact from HR about my resume.
