      Pros

      Flexibility and the worklife balance is pretty decent. The medical benefits for 2010 were good. That about all it is when it comes to Serco

      Cons

      As a federal govt contractor there is very little options once the contract ends. Project managers are recycled often. There is very little cohesiveness between team members. Vacation is 2 weeks and must be accrued. Serco doesnt acknowledge when you apply for an internal position within Serco corporate office. No incentives at the end of the year.

      Pros

      Large growing company through organic and primarily acquisitions. Payroll is met each month, company seems to be stable. enjoy working with local groups and managers

      Cons

      Company seems to have a 'silo mentality', not enough communication between groups, career progression in many areas is non-existent. Too many changes going on at one time with no clear group responsible for them

      Pros

      Supporting government and social organisations you feel you are conributing to society. I work on a customer site and most Serco staff here say it is conveniently close to where they live, but that seems to be the only good thing.

      Cons

      Poorly trained management all the way to the top. Many initiatives are not well thought out and result in additional work for the grass roots individuals or in some cases just create general chaos. The senior management in HQ are remote and do not understand the real issues for the workers. No real recognition or reward for contributing to the success of the organisation overall.
