      Pros

      Time off and that may change once the new company takes over.

      Cons

      Treated like children, crap for raises and bonuses, always being watched my management, absolutely no advancement possibilities, no benefits for seniority

      Great pay, bad management, but you will hear that for both KBR and SERCO contracts in theater.

      Pros

      War Zone pay (overall) is significantly above what is paid in the states. If you look at the job on an hourly wage basis, the pay is rather poor. It is a great contract to work on and the people and countries you get to see are something to remember. You typically work in a small office environment varied responsibilities. It is a dynamic and constantly changing environment. The vacation time is better than working in the states with two paid vacations per year but remember you are working 7 days a week . If you like to lead and advise, this is a good contract for you.

      Cons

      Mid and Senior level management does not follow through on their word and most often does not even communicate issues down to the working level. Senior contract management consistently says one thing and either does another or just does not follow-up at all on the issues presented to them. There is consistent friction between the contracting organization and the people working on the contract because management will not back them up. Previously there was an employee out in theater who contributed to a 60%-80% turnover in people. This person was consistently identified as a problem by numerous individuals either to senior management directly or through their exit interviews. Nothing was ever done to solve this issue and in fact after rotating out of theater they were elevated to a position in the States.
