Pros

Your employed. Some coworkers are truly the reason you stay.

Cons

I could write a sad hardback on this. First I am not a disgruntled employee. I consider myself a hard worker and take pride in my work. When I first came to Serv U Success I was astonished how nice of an atmosphere it was. Pretty much you were surrounded by content happy employee's from Meijer and various vendors. You were paid decent, had respectable benefits, and were treated kindly. When a district supervisor came into your town you were glad to see them and were treated to a lunch by them. Stress was completely gone. You didn't mind going the extra mile or working harder because you truly were appreciated. You were not going to get rich, but you had no real desire to ever leave. That was my first couple years. Then it got ugly. Starting with pay cuts, followed by being told we were lucky to have jobs. Then our company taking over another vendors work, then Meijer buying our company, then taking over more vendors work, adding an app to our cell phones, doing work with this app, work that by the way is near impossible to understand and MUST BE 100% complete correct no excuses and by the way you're on your own trying to figure things out. This is in addition to doing what you were doing. Way more to this. In short, the work load more than doubled, loads have become massive, and quite heavy. Work area have been reduced to less than half of what you had, you waste more time trying to stack organize, and all the while you get treated like garbage from Meijer staff who go out of their way to make your job even harder. If the economy were better there would be no employee's. Older employee's feel trapped and quite honestly are the much better workers. The older employee still has a work ethic, and pride where the younger ones could care less and it shows. Case counts and metrics are there new way of thinking that they can control things, except it's not accurate and humans are not machines. Turnover surrounds you and grim and bleak days are ever present. Your store lead, and his supervisor are the only reason you stay and tolerate day to day. Most co workers are truly good people. Profits must be quite good as they continue to build new stores in different cities. However, the model that got Serv-U-Success to where they are is completely destroyed, and the newest workers could care less. The older seasoned veteran workers continue to compensate for the newer employee's that just don't work. You will go home tired and sore and no longer a sense of accomplishment or pride. You go in each day and wonder what will happen to make today extra bad, or what impossible task will be asked of me today. Serv-U-Success was a great company. I would never recommend anyone here unless they are desperate or homeless. Meanwhile I along with so many others just try to keep going, do the best we can and try to stay positive. If you choose to work here, stay true to yourself, if you're a hard worker stay a hard worker and maybe things will change.

Pros

Employees you work with Flexible Hours

Cons

I literally do not know where to begin... The company has Zero Care for the personal needs/wants of its employees, the Pay is not what it should be for the Job Store Managers are held responsible for, if you're a Store Manager you will ALWAYS lose sleep because you're thinking of the store 24/7/365, if something happens YOU have to fix it, if someone calls off YOU must go in, if someone walks out I hope you like double shifts/days because you gonna get em. work life balance does not exist, my RD(Regional Director) will text everyone in a group text at 8pm asking why Mplans aren't submitted, Emails are absolutely unbearable and Micromanagement is terrible. I consider myself a pretty good SM(my yearly reviews show it) but even though you are succeeding in the store, you are not in upper management's eyes because there is always something wrong and you will not receive a compliment for your hard work and definitely will not be noticed or acknowledged if you work that 12-14hr shift. congratulations you just saved the company a boat load of money because you only get paid for 40hrs(salary) and get no overtime whatsoever as a SM. Masochist dream job, it's only a paycheck anymore. this job has went so far down the drain and Morale for a grand multitude of Store Managers, Store Reps and Assistant Store Mangers is the lowest its ever been and the Company could care less. I wish I was done but I can guarantee I've already scared you away, atleast I hope so. please, please do not get stuck I'm this company.... run.
