Pros
10$ an hour. Some bosses are fine once you get to know them. Will get you the experience to leave and work for another company. (Pepsi (12$), Frito Lay(15$), Aunt Millie's, Coca-Cola(15$), 7-up(11$), Busch's(College ben), Shwans(15$). Even McDonalds at 9.50 an hour will give you a bigger weekly paycheck.
Do not do a good background check. Very easy to get a new start if you are a criminal. Can lie on a resume about high school completion, grades, etc.
Cons
Poor hours on random days. Bad use of organizational management. Poor quality of employees. High turnover. Low pay to relative workload. (Do not compare Meijer to this job, compare high speed vendors)
Managers who sit and stare at operations management. Micro management. Coworkers are usually unmotivated and less productive because of poor management above the store level.
Workload is rising. Pay is the same. 4/5 of employees show strong signs of withdrawal behavior. No respect to workers according to the lean model of operations management.
This job is hard and I saw 6 people get fired in the last 7 months. Your a temporary worker. You have no rights or say in the direction of the company. Getting fired will not get you unemployment. You have to negotiate annually for a raise and many people get literally nickles and dimes for raises.
