We appreciate and thank you for sharing your experience. Our core values as an organization center on People First, meaning the experience of our Team Members is critical to our mission. As you mentioned, our Team Members work remotely, which is one of the benefits most appreciated by Team Members. Another benefit is our Team Members primarily work in their communities, which creates flexibility and prioritizes the importance of a work-life balance. Our work is guided by state regulations and provided based on the needs and schedules of the people we support. We agree this can cause schedule conflicts, especially if the services are critical. Through our annual leave benefit, our Team Members may schedule and take needed time off.

Pros

Training staff and material is fabulous with cohort support. (But, many things cannot be learned until actually experienced.) CEO seems genuine and caring. You receive computer equipment at no cost. IT staff is super helpful.

Cons

Too much documentation required. Documentation requirements change more than once a year. Individuals in the program do not like to sit in front of someone typing in front a computer, and CCS’ are required to. Very impersonal. Impossible to get bonuses. Travel is not considered ‘billable time’. Supervision is not considered ‘billable time.’ Virtual visits are not required, but many individuals prefer it. Company supervisors in Western Region encourage showing up to individuals house without permission when other communication methods are not successful. HR is more supportive of supervisory staff vs lower level staff. Micromanagement.

We appreciate you taking a moment to share your experience with us. As you may remember, one of our guiding principles is People First. In everything we do, we prioritize people. Our ability to expand our services and support the community means we operate based on state guidelines, including time, plans, and engagement. We understand there is a delicate balance between process and support, and we work very diligently to create that evenness. We cannot emphasize enough how important your feedback is to the organization. Thank you again, and we wish you the best in all your future endeavors.
