Pros

This category requires a twenty word minimum so I will say that there were and still are some brilliant, hard-working, and exemplary employees at SevOne. The trouble is most of them are leaving now that the holidays are over because they, too, cannot fathom how the company and its management team is allowed to lead such a dysfunctional organization. Once these employees are gone, there won't be much left. Sure, the Delaware office is pretty cool, but what's a slide in the office when there is no one left to go down it....?

Cons

There are many challenges to working at SevOne. However, the biggest challenge is the male management team. They will disregard all of your hard work and effort because of your age and gender, meaning there is no career advancement if you are a young female. Respect and integrity is nonexistent in the executive team. They do not appreciate their employees. It is evident in the way they handled a massive lay-off last year, and the fact that the voluntary turnover continues to rise. The leaders have no vision to lead or inspire their current employees to strive forward. Take a look at the rest of the Glassdoor reviews, these are not just disgruntled employees that have been terminated from the company. These are people who worked tirelessly to make SevOne a success and eventually realized that despite all their efforts, they would never be appreciated and so they moved on to new workplaces and are doing their due diligence to forewarn anyone considering employment at SevOne.

Not What It Used To Be

Pros

The best part about SevOne has always been its people. They are kind, hardworking, intelligent, fun, and passionate. They became my friends and family, because that's what SevOne used to be - a family. I still talk to all of them, but while I used to be so proud to have worked at SevOne and I believed in it there are almost no redeeming aspects anymore besides the good people who remain.

Cons

After this year, turnover is very high; more and more employees are leaving, such as the whole HR team and the founders of the company. They aren't leaving just because they found other jobs - they are leaving because they know what's really going on, and it's ugly. Upper management doesn't respect its employees or treat them well anymore. Employees are rewarded not because they earned it, but because they survived the layoffs and are still sticking around, and management is afraid they'll leave too. Quality or quantity of work doesn't matter anymore, how hard and well you work doesn't matter anymore. It's all a numbers game, and anyone could be next. There will undoubtedly be more layoffs in the future, and no one is safe. Once we moved into the new building, they kept throwing things at us we didn't need that cost a fortune. People even specifically asked for these things to stop BECAUSE we didn't need them or ask for them. SevOne didn't have good money management, and its employees suffered. We used to happy to come into work every day, because it was a fun, friendly place, where everyone worked ridiculously hard. And it isn't anymore. It's quiet, empty, tense... the startup feel they advertise is rotting. If you choose to work here, you are being blindsided by the "positives" they pretend to have, because the culture of awesome doesn't exist anymore and you will regret accepting an offer. I would have done anything for this company, and I did - worked long hours, did work that had nothing to do with my job, had much lower pay than I could have, etc., and I loved it, and I learned so much and found several lifelong friendships. And as much as I miss it every day, it is not the place we used to love, and I would warn anyone against joining.
