Petty C-level Leadership

Pros

People are the greatest asset at Sharecare. It's still a small/mid-sized start-up so it's good to know lots of folks by name and be able to interact with which helps with productivity.

Cons

The C-Level leadership. They don't actually care about Sharing care or the employees. They send petty and inappropriate email about silly issues like smoking in the wrong places, inappropriately accuse employees of not being in the office enough after 2 days of "recognizance", surreptitiously cancel the planned Christmas party with no explanation. All they care about is getting the company sold.

Challenging (in the good way)

Pros

Opportunity to learn plenty of new tools. No micromanagement. Make your case and get the job done how you like. Meetings often consist of players at different levels, which lets important voices be heard. Good salary, PTO, work-from-home benefits.

Cons

Pace of acquisitions is a bit quick. No significant 401k match. Stock options extremely weak. A bit meeting-happy.

Layoffs Abound

Pros

Robust benefits (minus medical), competitive salary, remote-first environment, good use of own product with employees. The new leadership should improve some of the cons below hopefully.

Cons

medical insurance was awful and useless, it was like taking a pay decrease with the 2025 switch. Multiple rounds of layoffs, hundreds of employees, due to PE purchasing the company, leaving teams already overwhelmed with work in even worse situations for those left.
