Pros

Can’t think of any positives

Cons

Creative is the worst team to work on at this company. Your creative ideas are slaughtered every week, and we work constantly evenings and weekends. You don’t get constructive feedback and good debate. You get told your work “is s***” (yes, literally). I’ve never been so miserable at a job before. Team members regularly call each other to cry and vent. It’s hard to see SharkNinja post positive videos about the culture on LinkedIn when so many teams are being treated like garbage all day, every day. The company is focused on presenting a shiny, polished and false image externally. There is no substance behind it.

Pros

Decent pay and free samples

Cons

The most toxic workplace I've been a part of. Employees are exploited with an unsustainable work life balance and the leadership team is constantly changing their minds in project direction, then turn around and publicly humiliate/scold employees during large team meetings for projects not being completed fast enough. Huge turnover rate. The rest of the product development industry in the state have come to learn sharkninjas reputation through all those that have gone through it's revolving door. Would not recommend applying if you care about your mental health.

Pros

Good pay, interesting work, opportunity for free products

Cons

Very toxic workplace environment. Managers have extremely unrealistic expectations for speed that work is done. Can never unplug while on PTO. Mixed messages about amount of work that needs to get done while encouraging using time off, not working after hours, etc. Extremely meeting heavy culture (often in meetings 6+ hours a day) and tendency to overextend employees (for example, responsible for 10+ products simultaneously). People do not stay long here. It's not uncommon to see stints of less than a year, and for good reason. I am 100% confident anyone can find a better place to work. Don't be drawn in by the salary or "cool" place to work. There is nothing cool about working at SharkNinja. It's also crazy how much plastic waste they generate in the product development process. If you at all care about the environment, it won't be a fun place for you to work.
