Pros

They pay very well, free breakfast on Friday, some of the people are nice

Cons

Do not get persuaded by the money, it is absolutely not worth it. Coming to SharkNinja is the worst mistake I have made in my life thus far. Management cannot align on anything and will have you spinning in circles without as much as a “thanks”. Executives don’t trust anyone so your work is pretty much worthless, and the EVP is so involved in every detail of everyone’s business that it’s impossible to get anything done. You spend your entire day in worthless meetings so you’re forced to work all night and weekends in order to get your deliverables done. Everything is about “checking a box”, not delivering quality work. There’s zero respect for work life balance and taking any vacation or working from home is frowned upon. Trust these glass door reviews because I didn’t and I have never regretted anything more.

Pros

This is by far the worst place that I have worked in. I am going to break this review to provide a complete understanding of the culture Leadership: Every person is a director, Sr director, VP and SVP. They do not hold worthy of these positions and are very inexperienced. There is no form of qualities that indicate leadership in these people. The organization is shuffled every 2 months. Employees are confused and unaware of whom they report to on a monthly basis. Technical acumen: The engineering process of development is not standard. The concepts are not backed by physics or any form of simulations to indicate it would be a feasible product. The prototypes are designed by the China teams, it is tested in China and then shipped to the US to engineers for the final “nod” . If you are someone who truly wants to apply engineering principles and be ecstatic about your contribution, this is not the place for you. If you are the person who would like a place to squat, have long meetings and hours and just tell people what to do without diving into the details or learning this is the perfect place for you. You are also in for a promotion for being a privileged corporate idiot. Career: Managers do not have 1 on 1’s with you. They do not care for your ambitions or development primarily because they are people with no power or experience promoted to their places too early. Zero mid level management ( Everyone is a non technical VP with engineering reports). It is a disaster. You will be promoted fairly quickly if you can suck up to the “major” people. Talent and merit plays no role here Infrastructure and benefits : the infrastructure and benefits are comparable to the Industry. The main strategy is to recruit college kids and pay them above market standard of an entry level engineer. Keep them around for a couple of years to do ground work and no form of engineering till they finally get burned out and decide to leave. Average cost to company for their total tenure comes down below market standards. It’s a great strategy for the company but horrible for a professional. Your skills will be non transferable and you will end up starting from the bottom of the chain in an alternate company. The only thing you will gain from here is weight from all the stress and multiple scarring experiences Vacation: Standard PTO and sick days. You will be working 15 hours a day. You ll need it if you are working here Product : horrible. Breaks down all the time since there is no actual engineering being applied Work- Life Balance : Zero, Calls with China teams start at 7 am and then you have meetings all the way until 5 pm. Then you will have calls from 8-11 pm. This is encouraged and you will need to attend it if you have to stay updated and be on top of things. If you value your mental health and want to work with intelligent people and do meaningful work this is NOT the place for you. If you re thinking whether to join, here is some advice: it’s not worth it. Run champ Run Ranking from bad to worst teams to work in SharkNinja. 1. Ninja Teams 2. Shark corded and cordless Vacuum teams 3. Robots teams

Cons

Only cons. Nothing great to say
