Pros

Good benefits. Exposure to product design cycles in rapid environment. Opportunity to work in large cross-functional team.

Cons

No work life balance. Engineer role is not as technical as you would expect. Large number of unnecessary meetings every day. Project direction is constantly changed and influenced by simple leadership comments, making for an extremely disorganized environment. Management encourages you to work above and beyond without recognition or additional compensation. Often provide vague promises of raises and promotion to encourage a larger work output but will go years without actually giving it to you. Engineering management works completely detached from the engineers executing the design work and are unaware of team contributions.

We appreciate you sharing this feedback. It’s great to hear you had a positive experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and gaining exposure to product design cycles during your time at SharkNinja. We acknowledge that we have experienced rapid growth and recently we've introduced new programs to address this and ensure every associate feels valued. We’ll continue to focus on these efforts and pass this feedback along directly to our Engineering leaders.

Pros

Lots of work available, mountains, and fairly likeable people to be found.

Cons

Lack of organizational values and structure often leads to abuse and burnout and wastage of resources. While initially it appears there is some agility, it quickly becomes apparent that it is a free for all but the most talented and productive who everything is dumped on.

Pros

Salary, potential for learning (though limited)

Cons

Dysfunctional Leadership Team: A leadership team that is out of sync leads to a chaotic and demoralizing work environment. Unreceptive to Feedback: Lack of willingness to listen to negative feedback creates a culture where problems are swept under the rug rather than addressed. Prioritizing Owners over Substance: Decisions driven by pleasing owners often prioritize short-term gains over long-term health and sustainability of the company. Limited Impact: It's hard to make a significant impact on the company's direction when leadership refuses to acknowledge or address challenges. Mental and Emotional Toll: Working in this type of environment can be extremely draining, leading to stress and burnout.
