Pros

Salary to not make you look towards all the cons

Cons

Managers have zero knowledge and cannot care less about their teams. Everyone is just caught in a rat race. Only 1% employees have substance and knowledge, rest are just talking their way out of difficult situations. Once the oil industry falls, which it will sooner or later, you will find yourself without substantial expertise in one specific field which significantly diminishes your employability in the long run.

Pros

Shell truly cares about the energy transition and they have realised that the best way to achieve that is through a diverse work force. Because they are male dominated in parts they really invest a lot of time in attracting and supporting women. I feel supported, looked after and invested in.

Cons

It is a big company so decision making can be slow at times. I sometimes found it hard to find the information I needed but you basically have to network and once you find the right people they will really help.
