Workload can really be a stretch

Leaders that don't practice what they preach, and are mostly just after achievements that will position them for their next role - at the expense of their team. Leaders preach openness and honesty but will penalize you in your performance review if you give them negative feedback. Politics and rubbing elbows with your leaders matter more in the end than your actual contributions. You are force-ranked among your team members in the same job level in your performance evaluation even if their roles are completely different from yours. This leads to a lot of jockeying and people stabbing you in the back to get ahead. Worst of all, there is a reorg almost every single year, and you are constantly one oil price drop away from either losing your job or losing a team member.
