      work/life balance; salary; good package (not in my case)

      Cons

      I was not satisfied with the management - not using capabilities of people, and not so open; low level of support, especially HR & IT; slow organisation; management decisions are sometimes confusing and not always clear.

      Pros

      9/80 (every other Friday off), very understanding with inclement weather, stress on safety

      Cons

      Their system of "Job Grades" is extremely inconsistent and is apparent after someone has finally left a position after several years and they have to raise the salary and Job Grade to fill it with someone with the same qualifications.

      Pros

      Large range of opportunities due to the scale of the company. Varied roles and a good internal job posting and aplication system. Olympic swimming pool in the basement,

      Cons

      Sometimes too big a company. Felt a little impersonal. A lot of stigma attached to the company and high regard held to those who had operated in difficult/unpopular/controversial country assignments. A lot of lip service paid to 'going green' but few significant moves within the business.
