Pros

When they have retirement savings matches they are good.

Cons

This company was stuck in the 80s for a long time. Favoritism in the IT department was very blatant. Now, they have a buy before build and are bringing in vendors to replace systems. They keep saying they don't need to reduce staff but in 3 years, there will be a large group of IT staff with nothing to do. The internal job structure is that they will post jobs on a lattice and ladders board. No salary info, no skills required info, just a generic job description. Many people who have applied for jobs to try something new end up either taking a pay cut or being told that are at the top of the range for entry level (if you switch ladders they start you on the bottom from what I've seen). I've been with the company over 10 years only received one promotion so far. Raises are just below cost of living increases. We were told shortly after the lock down started that work from home would be permanent, and now that CEO has retired and the new on has dictated a back to the office 3 days a week.
