      Wish there was more training

      You have specialized underwriters and service individuals to reach out to.

      Cons

      As far as training, there isn't a lot compared to other companies I have been with. There is the library, but it's hard to navigate. I went through WEEKS of training with a different insurance company where I was walked through every single step I would need to take to complete a task. Shelter has no such thing.

      Good benefits & pension. Ability to move around to different departments.

      Cons

      Claims adjusters are stretched far too thin and given far too large of work load. Properly staffing branches & departments for employees to do their jobs to the best of their ability within 40 hours is far from a priority
