Pros

There really were no pros other than Shepherd share.

Cons

This by far was one of the worst places I have ever worked. Management is unfair and have their certain pics. The managers are messy.. I worked on ABI-S brain injury and management was absolutely messy and unfair if you didn’t want to be her little pet. The manager actually had someone record her employees personal conversations and the she used those personal conversations to write her employees up. Very unethical. You are lied to during interviews to get you in the door. Most of the nurse do not help the PCTs. There is absolutely no team work. I wouldn’t recommend this place to work.

Pros

Incredible mission and legacy. Great community connections and funding sources.

Cons

Dishonest and self-serving middle managers. Ineffective communication loops and lack of integrity. The most toxic work environment I've ever experienced.

Pros

If you want to gain experience to move forward into nursing, allied healthcare, or anything else.. it’s pretty good. You will learn more than you’d expect about spinal cord injury and/or brain injury.

Cons

As a person of color, the first thing you’ll notice is that majority of the minorities are environmental services or patient care techs. Doctors, nursing, and therapists are majority white. Culture doesn’t exist there. It’s hard for others to relate to me in many ways and I have no one to openly express it to. A few of my previous colleagues of color were fed the same line.. “Your coworkers are saying that you have an attitude and don’t seem interested.” For my people of color, get your experience here but then move on!
