Great atmosphere, competitive pay, and good benefits. They have a good 403b plan and also a yearly bonus. Shepherd has a friendly atmosphere that is in matched by any other hospital

Cons

Shepherd is a smaller hospital, so promotion and advancement is a little harder to come by. Other then that, Shepherd is a great place to work

Pros

Salaries are decent. Upper management is very approachable, even the CEO. I have been treated fairly. Advancement opportunities are fair.

Cons

Not fond of the insurance (medical coverage). It seems slanted toward the younger employees. The average nurse is in his or her 40's. They need to re-evaluate the coverage. The dental coverage has been really good this year.
