Pros
Opportunity for travel with an expense account, hotel has a very good reputation, dry cleaning paid for, and discounts in Starwood and Fairmont properties. Great clients at the hotel. Loved my actual work/job.
Cons
Very poor physical working environment for Sales Managers, no privacy - very crowded bull pen style, 11 people crammed in the space of 3 person bullpen and no possibility for expansion. Everyone was sick all the time because of such close quarters. Morale was very low at the hotel. Churn and burn employer like many hotels. Paid lip service to 'team' but it was dog eat dog attitude. Pay was poor and lots of long hours without compensation, either financially or with time in lieu. Expected to sell your soul to the hotel until you burned out and went somewhere else.
