Pros

- Customers are generally more on the nicer side but YMMV. - Most of the coworkers I worked with are pretty nice. A little gossipy though. - The store can get pretty quiet for long periods of time, allowing you to relax or do some chores.

Cons

- Managers/supervisors change constantly due to frequent job changes/moves/promotions (literally went through 3 different managers in one store over about 2 years and a neighboring store went through 2). - Upper management can be really slow to hire replacements (a store I knew has been going without a store manager for more than a year and recently lost their assistant manager so they basically have no one assigned to manage the store). - There are many times where you are working alone at the store particularly on weekends. - You will need to do some heavy lifting for some products with little assistance. - A decent amount of my full-time coworkers had to work a hefty amount of overtime to ensure that the store is staffed, and upper management complains. Even though there is literally no other option due to most of the stores being understaffed. - Pretty mediocre pay for work that extends beyond a simple part-time retail job, but I was eligible to receive other benefits such as health insurance and a 401k with matching even as a part-timer.
