Pros

Great benefits. Easy to promote. Multiple training opportunities.

Cons

Long work weeks, especially as a manager. 48 minimum - upper management expects around 60 hours a weeks. Difficult to find support from outside the store. It is difficult to meet expectations of upper management on a consistent basis. Be prepared to do the same job as part time help with little time do your actual job.

Pros

The company offers an excellent ability to relocate. In general the store staff is usually likeable. You will get to meet the VPs and maybe President of the company in your time here. You will also get great experience running a retail store because you will be thrown into the fire and will have to hope the store staff is knowledgeable enough to aid you.

Cons

You are not as important as the stock price. Your family isn't as important as the stock price. My old district has had major turnover due to people quitting. This is due to unfavorable hiring choices made after the loss of a district leader. They hire college grads with no experience instead of promoting full-time employees with years of experience. This is a complex industry with many variables and it cannot be learned in the 2 months of management training. This is a company wide practice. Drink the Kool-Aid or else don't bother applying.
