Can be long hours (7-6) Lot of information to learn Contractors can be rude Sometimes part timers don't "buy in". But that may just be at my store.

Middle management is clueless. They hire kids fresh out of college with no experience and make them managers. Kind of a sink or swim mentality. At the store level your competition is other SW stores. It's dog eat dog. It's done that way to promote business growth without having to pay much in bonus. Oh, and if your not management there is no bonus. No incentive to work hard but to keep your job. If your part-time your on the chopping block first when the store sales are down.
