      *Outstanding environment for those looking to work with highly intelligent and driven people. *Products have saved the lives of Americans, Israelis, and other friends. *Nowhere else can you work on the most cutting-edge AI and autonomy for the United States military. I have been part of Shield AI for nearly three years. This period has been the most challenging and yet profoundly fulfilling of my professional life. The co-founder’s Navy SEAL background is deeply ingrained in the company culture, which promotes excellence and servant leadership. Here, you work with some of the smartest engineers in the world and veterans who have dedicated their entire lives in service to our country. Shield AI is the only defense tech company in the world providing meaningful mission impact against adversaries trying to harm Americans and our allies.

      Cons

      *Those seeking a traditional 9-to-5 with perks and catered meals of a Meta or Google (Google (corporate policy boycotting AI for Defense projects) may find the mission-driven environment and long hours challenging. *Constant change, you will need to be flexible and adapt, if you are not a self-starter look for a different company.

      We lead with the noble and consequential mission of helping the US and our allies address real-world national security engineering challenges. Surrounded by smart, dedicated, high energy professionals. Phenomenal culture and team spirit, great pay, and as much responsibility as you can handle. Building a generation defining tech company.

      Cons

      Expectations are high and results matter -- go to Boeing, Northrop or Lockheed if looking to skate.

      Pros

      * You work on cool stuff that has an impact in the world. * Very high-quality colleagues. Intelligent, thoughtful people across the company. * Open to contrarian views delivered tactfully, and an openness to change. Shield is great. Yes it is hard work, but then there is an urgency in the mission. As per the lack of diversity, majority of the Execs are POC, and there are many teams (like Finance, Px) that are majority female. I also believe the pay and benefits are very fair for an emerging growth company.

      Cons

      * Hard stuff is hard. I only gave it a 4 as I know it is not for everyone. I am looking for growth and learning, so this is the perfect job for me.
