Pros
If you are not part of production, you are golden. They have turned production into a place for low skill workers, and they pay them as such. I started when production had higher requirements, and I received higher pay. Essentially I was grandfathered in. I have since left, but I doubt that my situation will be the case for anyone newer.
Cons
I doubt you can get paid well in production anymore. They really dumbed down the work that was required for production to the point that anyone off the street could do it. Ultimately I left for greater opportunities since they also tend to look down on member of production, and refuse to promote from production.
