I made it 3 months at ShipperHQ, and was lucky enough to find another job and be able to leave, but I feel for those who may be less fortunate.
ShipperHQ has a really good product but is unfortunately severely limited by their CEO. Jo is a brilliant engineer but is extremely out of her depth when it comes to running a tech company. As other reviews mention she is abrasive, chaotic, and an incredible micro manager. Almost everything about ShipperHQ is broken; however Jo refuses to accept that fact, or allow anyone to help try and make things better.
I read these reviews on Glassdoor prior to starting and decided to take the job anyway (after a layoff at my previous company). Looking back, these reviews are spot on with my experience and I wish I had given them more weight when considering my options. I’ve never written a Glassdoor review before but felt I needed to do my part to warn people of what they’re getting into by joining this company.
I cannot in good faith recommend ShipperHQ as a place to work to anyone, and highly recommend you run in the opposite direction if you’re considering a role here.
I could go on, but hopefully you get the picture. This is not a productive or healthy workplace and it will not change unless/until the CEO does.
