Pros

A handful of the employees at Shipt are fantastic! They're some of the best people I've ever worked with at any job I've ever had. Free snacks and food all the time. A mostly progressive environment. The pay was good and it really felt some of the time like you were contributing to something bigger than just your own tasks - some of the time.

Cons

The rest of the employees at Shipt came across as very judgemental. It felt almost like high school politics and if you weren't part of the "in crowd," you were just a tool to be used until you weren't useful anymore.

We strive to create an open environment that supports personal and professional freedoms and growth. In an effort to better connect, we conduct Friday information sessions exploring roles, functions, and initiatives of different departments. We also try to host events and encourage interactions that promote team bonding.

Pros

That whole line about find something you love and you'll never work a day in your life is true! I've had the opportunity to solve problems, grow with the company, and learn new skills. The whole team really feels like a team instead of co-workers working for the same company. Some of the main pros are meeting people from around the globe with different backgrounds, the opportunities to grow, team atmosphere, startup culture, the ability to try new ideas, free snacks, and some freedom to work from home/out of town.

Cons

There really aren't any cons. Keep in mind it's still a start up. You wouldn't love this job if you don't like working long hours or weekends.

Pros

Shipt is growing fast and is full of opportunity. The pace is quick and activity is constant. There's always a new challenge to own and make your mark. I highly recommend Shipt to anyone who wants to work hard to be a part of something amazing.

Cons

Since the company is relatively new there are not a lot of processes in place and teams are changing constantly. This sometimes makes it difficult to figure out who to go to for what. These are standard growing pains that I'm sure will pass.

I hope that our department presentations have provided some additional clarity on the "who to go to" front. I know that many of the departments are working to institute some knowledge spaces and FAQs that employees can go to for references.
