Awesome coworkers and that is it

Cons

A/C never works, so you are constantly working overheated No breaks allowed for non-management employees No raises unless you move up to management No paid holidays, no overtime available Hours will get cut No real discount on shoes

Cons

Stay away from this company at all costs. It is run like it's still the 80s. The company doesn't even have a simple email system. Pay is horrible, workloads are huge, benefits are minimal. Someone in my store had a death in the family. She had sick time she wanted to use, but the company wouldn't let her use it to attend the funeral and wake because she wasn't sick. Disgusting.

Pros

Working at The Shoe Dept was a fun job that did require alot of running around and some lifting. I would recommend it.

Cons

My manager was dreadful. I was hired as a Assistant Manager and had been in managerial positions in the past so I knew from the beginning that she was going to be difficult to work for. She mainly stayed in her office all day, came in late and left early constantly, and took 2 hour lunch breaks.
