Pros

The laid back atmosphere is nice. The job is not complicated at all. Merchandising is straight forward.

Cons

Pay offered is not competative at all. Commission based "bonus" added to base rate(would be a pro if the commission rates were better) Availability: schedule for the store, not the employee. Discounts could be better. Many stores run on one register. Dial-up modems for credit card processing. No creature comforts (had to buy our own fridge, provide our own microwave, and had no hot water for handwashing) Paychecks given out Saturday at noon when most employees are working, and most banks are closed, meaning many employees have to hold their pay until monday. No direct deposit offered. Poor benefits package.

Pros

Flexible hours, vacation, benefits such as ins, 104k, life insurance. Love the people I work with.

Cons

Raises are horrible, doesn't recognize your hard work and dedication! Required to be there alone for the majority of the day with no chance to eat a lunch in peace!!!!
