Great Place to Work Until it Isn’t

Pros

When you are liked and one of the “chosen” then you can be pretty happy here. Had some nice coworkers.

Cons

Toxic culture, cliques and bullying starting with the HR group and director of communications team who are manipulative and a couple of the biggest bullies of them all. Little to no upward mobility for anyone that isn’t an engineer. Benefits are expensive.

Pros

Good diversity of projects, Descent work life balance, staff is great to work with

Cons

Upper management is only concerned with meeting their own department's goals and don't work together as a team. They only care about themselves, You are constantly micromanaged about your billable time and sales goal, upper management has little trust in staff and promote through favoritism. Upper management if very much a good old boys club, benefits are expensive and salaries appear to be on the low side. As a senior manager you will be stuck with an achievable sales goal as you will be stick with the clients that don't have work or the company won't sign their contract.

Thank you for your feedback, and for noting our great staff, diversity of projects, and a work/life balance that supports our employee-owners. I am disappointed to hear your experience and concerns. As an ESOP, all of our company's profits are returned to our employee-owners. We strive to match each employee's talents and interests to the needs of the company, and balance supporting our employees, managing our business, and providing our employees autonomy and responsibility. We will continue to work to improve this balance, along with continuing to invest in technology. (Note, as of April 2020, nearly all of our employees are working from home, successfully delivering projects to our clients.) Sincerely, David E. Ott, CEO/President

The real problem here is HR management

Pros

My co-workers were great people. I cannot say the same for upper management.

Cons

Upper management is cliquey and ensures that they stay at the top by only promoting their favorites. They did nothing when I had a vicious new manager come in and do everything in her power to get rid of me, creating a miserable work environment where everything I did was wrong. I spent my last few months working there holding my breath so I wouldn't burst into tears. Very toxic work environment.
