Pros
Great Management, In the seventeen years of being in Food & Beverage industry I’ve never had managers care about their staff and help their staff as much as this company does. The food in the employee cafeteria is also better than any hotel I have ever been previously employed at, And that is a fact. Paychecks are paid weekly. I love being able to get my check every week instead of every two weeks. Shutters on the beach offers amazing Benefits! From Dental,Vision and medical also 401k, huge discounted room nights at their other hotels, Staff are able to rent the bicycles on the boardwalk free of charge and up to 5 bikes at a time on your days off.
Cons
Better menu options in the lobby lounge, The food tastes great but it’s very basic American fare. Pastas and steaks with good seafood/Sushi options would help boost tips. The hourly wage is higher than any restaurant I’ve ever worked at but the check average is hard to build up so you really have to hustle 8 hours straight to be able to survive in this economy.
