Joining Sibylline -- best decision I ever made!

Pros

I've thought for a while how I would "review" working at Sibylline. Talking casually with some friends in the industry recently, that description became clear -- joining Sibylline is best decision I have ever made. Both the 'corporate team of analysts/managers and the embedded team members we have around the world are truly world-class. And I could not ask for a more ethical and principled executive team, who conveniently are also just lovely people.

Cons

It's a smaller firm compared to some of this big rivals/competition. So we have to work a little harder... :-)

This company is an absolute joke. The CEO is a nice guy but managers and the majority of supervisors are absolutely incompetent. The drama that ensues from this place is abhorrent. Managers don't respect or care for their employees and constantly micromanage as well as change schedules depending on the drama of the week. In the time that I was there, 13 employees, yes, THIRTEEN people had either quit or had gotten fired. The pay is LOW and the schedule is demanding, I've seen people get writeups for being one minute late. There is no career advancement and the work culture is extremely toxic. I'm not sure if Sibylline still has the contract at PayPal but I wouldn't be surprised if they lose it. If you are trying to apply for a job here, run!

Very interesting work and great people but can be challenging

- Get to work with a diverse group of extremely talented people from all over the world - Lots of responsibility from day one - Very interesting work - Regular exposure to clients - Some travel opportunities - Flexible working arrangements - Strong company culture and values (and fun social aspect!!)

Cons

- Hours can be long and sometimes the job involves weekend work - Must be able to hit the ground running and work under minimal supervision; can be a little overwhelming, particularly at first
