      Pros

      Great rapport with colleagues. Employees work hard and play hard. They try not to let the work tie them down too much. They find a way to cope.

      Cons

      I can't honestly say there was a downside. However it could be dealing with some of the attorneys who can either make your job enjoyable or make it more difficult.

      Pros

      More user friendly than most biglaw. Good place for experience on complicated deals and cases Partnership is a possibility for many

      Cons

      Bonuses are not at market. The firm is slow to make needed changes. Litigation is main focus of the firm.

      Pros

      There are some positives working for Sidley Austin. The pay is decent and there's overtime (but they work you for the bone for it). You get a car home and a meal if you stay late and there's a cafeteria inside the building

      Cons

      The cons outweigh the pros here. The environment is hostile and backwards. People are preferred over others due to their "contacts." Being paid over-time is an excuse for the company to harass you to stay late or come in on the weekends. The lawyers are not friendly and there's evident segregation between "support" staff and lawyers - there's even two separate holiday parties.
