Pros

Good people. Staff works hard and takes pride in good service. really good benefits. The kind of stuff you don’t appreciate when you are young, but is appreciated more as you get older.

Cons

Not enough attention paid to hiring and retaining new people and younger staff. Younger people want a positive environment and have the freedom to go elsewhere if they aren’t happy.

Pros

35-hr work week OT work from home Transit benefits

Cons

Diverse but not a place for all personalities or work backgrounds. The conservative culture and robotic pace quickly frustrates and makes one feel inadequate if you come from complex, dynamic environments with few routines. It will stifle independence. The department is now evolving from the long, drawn-out mundane process. It reduced much of the "crying over spilled milk" response. Many folks boast their tenure to show for their experience and unfortunately are unable to provide other skills and talents. In reality, doing the same thing for years does not acquire anyone new skills. The accumulated knowledge shows it will fade away during process evolution. Not much to look forward to in its career path.

Pros

Good benefits, great resources, lots of trainings, nice lawyers.

Cons

CH secretarial supervisors should be eliminated. they are supposed to help keep the lawyers and other secretaries informed of our out-of-office schedules and back-ups. supervisors can't even get our schedules right, and consistently make mistakes. when we need help, we were asked to look for help ourselves and talk to our team members ourselves. but when we are swamped with work, the supervisors should be there to assist us to ask for help!
