Pros

Unfortunately, Sigma is a burnout/favoritism culture. I took notice to the recent reviews where I believe an “All Hands” was held to help boost ratings on Glassdoor and other websites for a PR boost. This topic was discussed months back, so I can only imagine how worse it has gotten. I’ve even heard Shutter Hills is even starting to discredit them from other recruiters, can only imagine what was said.

Cons

The loudest in the room, or the best brown-noser will get the most credit. It’s unfortunate that management can’t understand or see through the thickness of how they are being controlled and not for the best. They’ve recent lost multiple VP’s, Directors and many more. Almost forgot to add they were cut without notice even if responsibilities or quota was meet for multiple teams. Imminent buyout by Snowflake soon or later.

Pros

Free Lunch Some friendly people

Cons

- Sigma is a con. "Spectacular growth" propped up by high customer acquisition costs and cash burn. - Engineering managers can be quite immature. - Very sexist. - Lacks diversity. - User understanding is minimal - A toxicity that manifests itself in a passive-agressive way. - Solutions to all problem, cut everyone. - Unfair reviews based on hearsay. - Extremely poor product group - Eng leadership is very limited, - Leadership not held accountable, if so many people cut, then who made the bad hires? Or is management just bad

I'm sorry we weren't the right place for you - but as we said before we always acknowledge that our company may not be for everyone. To repeat from earlier responses it is absolutely true that we treat our team like adults - that definitely means that we hold a high bar for performance (across the entire team -everyone from interns to Senior Leaders is held to the same performance bar). We are unapologetic that we want not only the best talent but we also want the best talent that is hungry for more - as you will know those people are consistently very successful here. And the proof is in the pudding - having enjoyed consistent (and real!) triple digit growth for the last 4 years those truths will remain true! We will continue to welcome people to Sigma that believe in what we believe in so if that's you we want to hear from you!

I'm sorry we weren't the right place for you - but we acknowledge that our company may not be for everyone. As you know we have a high bar for performance and that we expect everyone that works at Sigma to be accountable for their goals. Having enjoyed consistent triple digit growth for the last 4 years we believe in that approach and will always continue to welcome people to Sigma that believe in what we believe in. I'm sorry that we didn't work out for you but wishing up all the very best for the future!
